Our Strategy

We focus on seven key areas critical to the success of the West Nile region:

  • Food Security & Livelihoods: We work to ensure everyone in West Nile has access to nutritious food and the resources they need to earn a sustainable income. This includes promoting farming techniques that increase yields, connecting farmers to markets, and empowering women to play a greater role in agriculture.

  • Education: We believe education is the key to unlocking individual and community potential. We partner with schools and educators to provide quality education, promote ethics and integrity, and equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.

  • Institutional Capacity Building: Strong institutions are essential for long-lasting development. We provide training, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to help local organizations improve their governance, financial management, and service delivery.

  • Health: Good health is fundamental to a thriving community. We work to improve access to healthcare services, promote preventive care, and raise awareness about important public health issues. Our areas of focus include nutrition, sanitation, and mental health.

  • Research & Innovation: We believe in the power of research and innovation to drive positive change. We conduct research to identify the most pressing challenges facing West Nile communities and develop innovative solutions to address them. We are also committed to sharing our knowledge and collaborating with others to maximize our impact.

  • Protection & Psychosocial Support: We create a safe and supportive environment for all, especially those who are most vulnerable. This includes providing protection services to victims of violence, offering counseling and mental health support, and promoting peacebuilding initiatives.

  • Climate, Environment & Natural Resources: We understand that our environment is essential for our long-term well-being. We promote sustainable practices that protect our natural resources and mitigate the effects of climate change. We also work to educate communities about the importance of environmental conservation.
